Cheyenne Firms Win $15.56M in Wyoming Transportation Contracts

The Wyoming Transportation Commission has approved $18.5 million in contracts for 11 construction projects across the state, with major awards going to companies based in Cheyenne.


The largest project — nearly $13.7 million — was awarded to Simon Contractors of Cheyenne to replace bridges in Platte County. Work includes structural upgrades, asphalt paving, grading and traffic control, with completion expected by Nov. 30, 2027.

Reiman Corp., also from Cheyenne, won a $1.48 million contract for a bridge replacement on County Road 702 in Carbon County. The work includes grading, erosion control and surfacing and is scheduled to wrap by July 31, 2026.


Other awarded projects include:


  • S & L Industrial (Cowley) — $445,503 for logo sign upgrades and traffic control in multiple counties; due Oct. 31.

  • Traffic Safety Services Inc. (Cheyenne) — $391,150 for pavement striping and traffic control in Carbon and Laramie counties; due Oct. 31.

  • Wescom Inc. (Gillette) — $258,579 for new pedestrian crossing lighting in Cheyenne at I-25 and I-80; due Oct. 31.

  • Keyhole Technologies LLC (Casper) — $491,410 for sign replacements in five counties; due Oct. 31.

  • DeBernardi Construction Co. Inc. (Rock Springs) — $587,900 for slab replacement in Lincoln and Sweetwater counties; due Oct. 31.


Several statewide pavement marking contracts were also awarded:


  • Superior Sign & Supply LLC (Casper) — $323,441 for work in Converse, Goshen, Natrona and Platte counties.

  • S & L Industrial (Cowley) — $281,020 for Campbell, Crook, Sheridan and Weston counties, plus $225,469 for Fremont, Park and Washakie counties.

  • Streamline Markings Inc. (Montana) — $330,600 for Lincoln, Sublette, Sweetwater and Teton counties.


Most Wyoming Department of Transportation contracts are awarded to the lowest qualified bidder, according to the commission.
