The Sixth Street Park, Arts, River & Connectivity Project (PARC) looks to break ground next year. The almost 13 acres of open space would be built on land beneath the massive sixth street bridge infrastructure project that connects the downtown Los Angeles Arts District with Boyle Heights.
The design of the new park by Hargreaves Jones includes three main sections; East Park, West Park, and Arts Plaza/River Gateway. The three components together will boast a soccer field, basketball and volleyball courts, skate park, performance stage with terraced seating, dog park, café. restrooms, meadows, and picnic areas.
