New Survey Says Construction Jobs for Women on the Rise

The survey was conducted in conjunction with National Women in Construction Week. The study by The National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) and Safe Site Check In included over 700 hundred women who work in construction.


In the multiple choice questionnaire, the majority of women surveyed answered that they felt construction opportunities were increasing. Only one percent of respondents felt that opportunities were decreasing. Also, over half of the women who took the survey gave their employers high marks when it came to work place equality.


Although the results were generally positive, the NAWIC stressed that the results of the survey indicated room for improvement.
