U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Awards Jacobs $249M
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers' Omaha District has awarded Jacobs a $249 million contract for architecture and engineering services. This agreement will support environmental initiatives across the Northwestern U.S., Alaska, Hawaii, and other remote regions, according to the Dallas-based company.
The contract encompasses a range of services, including design work, environmental compliance, support during remedial construction, documentation for the National Environmental Policy Act, and other environmental studies, the release stated.
“[Jacobs] will provide comprehensive environmentally responsive solutions to meet client goals,” said Susannah Kerr, Jacobs' senior vice president. “Jacobs’ ongoing support of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers across the globe highlights our continued commitment to working alongside government agencies on national security infrastructure and resiliency.”
The five-year agreement, which commenced on Oct. 1, includes an option for a two-year extension for task orders. This marks Jacobs’ 15th contract award with the USACE in 2024, further strengthening the firm’s collaboration with the agency. Collectively, these contracts represent a capacity exceeding $2 billion, according to the release.
