LAX Expansion Completed at Tom Bradley International Terminal

Los Angeles World Airports

Los Angeles City Officials have announced the over four-year-long construction of the West Gates expansion has come to a close.

The $1.73 billion project adds 15 new passenger gates servicing both international and domestic travel. Children's play areas, nursing rooms, stores, and restaurants will be incorporated as well.

“Completing the West Gates is the latest step in our unprecedented campaign to reimagine LAX — to help our airport realize its potential as a premier, 21st century destination, as a source of jobs and economic growth for local workers, and as a site of seamless travel for millions of passengers," said Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti in a news release.

The project is part of a $14.5 billion LAX improvement project that includes a people mover connecting LAX to Sofi Stadium as well as upgrades to multiple terminals.
